Esports Chart released their top 10 most watched esports teams list on 27 December 2022. Uniquely, the team who has raised Dendi’s name in Dota 2, NAVI, lose in popularity from this Indonesian team, RRQ.
This great result from RRQ is received by Esports Chart Statistic from the consistent results of RRQ, especially for their division competing in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang scene. Considering that in the past year, RRQ won MPL Indonesia season 9, represented Indonesia at MSC 2022, runner-up in MPL Indonesia season 10, and in early January, they will be the face of Indonesia for the Mobile Legends world championship: Bang Bang World M4 Series Championship.
Although they are ahead of Navi who is in 3rd place, RRQ also has to admit how T1 is the number one most watched esports team in the world. T1 ’s League of Legends division has just taken the stage at Worlds 2022. At this event, the peak viewers of T1 reached 5,147,701 with a total of up to 112.93 million views. The results obtained by T1 increased by 27.5% when compared to last year's achievements.
Besides RRQ, 2 other Indonesian teams, Onic Esports and EVOS Legends are also in the top 10 most watched esports teams. ONIC, who just won MPL Indonesia season 10 and MPL Invitational 2022, is ranked 6th, while EVOS, which is going through a bad history by not qualifying for the MPL ID S10 playoffs, is ranked 8th.
From these results, we can see that mobile esports can actually compete with the competitive scene of PC esports. Uniquely, these 3 Indonesian teams in the top 10 are teams from the Mobile Legends division.
