LoL Worlds 2022 Score the Highest Peak Viewers in the End of 2022

Esports competitions are growing rapidly, whether for mobile or PC games. From the many competitions, League of Legends (LoL) Worlds 2022 becomes the most sought after competitions at the end of 2022. 

 

In November, many tier-A esports competitions were happening, especially for PC games. The most notable ones being Overwatch, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, and League of Legends. However, mobile games were also happening because at the same month, there was the ONE Esports MPL Invitational where Southeast Asian Mobile Legends teams competed against one another.

One of the reasons this is a highly viewed match is because of the presence of an iconic LoL player, Faker, who plays for T1. This match alone has 5.1 million peak Viewership and made LoL Worlds 2022 the most watched tournament in November. This record also made Worlds 2022 the most watched PC esports competition of all time.

The second most watched competition belongs to Counter Strike: Global Offensive, which is the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Rio Major 2022. Uniquely, whereas peak viewership usually lays on the final, this competition peaked on day-2 of the champion stage. The grand final where Heroic plays the Outsiders has a peak viewership of 1.2 million while the champion stage between NAVI and FURIA got a peak viewership of 1.4 million views. 
 

  1. ONE Esports MPL Invitational 2022

On rank 3, mobile gaming makes its mark through the ONE Esports MPL Invitational 2022. This Southeast Asian Mobile Legends tournament has a peak viewership of 704 thousand people. Although this is is impressive, the peak viewership dropped almost twice as much compared to ONE Esports MPL Invitational 2021.
